The Invention Of Lying
Last night i watched the movie "the invention of lying" starring Ricky Gervais. this movie was a provocative representation of a world in which lying was inconceivable by all except for one man. To imagine a world in which lying is non-existent is to imply a blunt view of all things bad in the world but that is only because we are saying the truthful things that we think. I have started to think that a world where lying does not exist would be a better world, because there would be no more miss-communications. The world would no longer have anything that is not what it seems to be or anything that is deceptive, in fact deception its self would no longer exist. one important distinction to make when considering this world is to recognize the difference between lying and creativity. In our world people are innately creative and thus, they lie. In the world that i am supposing lies would be impossible but comprehensible by all people, and therefore would not discourage creativity. This world is not a possibility due to the fact that the human mind does not know when there are gaps of information. In other words the mind will make up information that fits based on a preconceived notion. In other, other words lying is human.
