Eats Shoots and Leaves
The book "Eats(,) Shoots and Leaves" is an interesting, eye opening look at punctuation. A topic that is thought by most to have little story behind it but with its witty commentary and funny examples it is a delight for people who love to correct people. There is one major problem with correcting people on things such as grammar and punctuation that is there is no way of doing so without being condescending. Some would call these people jerks who are just being picky, but others are able to identify with the rage that is evoked by seeing grammatical mistakes or the horrible mistreatment of the apostrophe. This book calls for a uniting of sticklers all around the world to form a vigilante group who will correct others mistakes. Some members may write a letter to an organization to properly inform them and some may even graffiti the correct punctuation on to public signs or displays.
